It took me a while, but I finally got around to making the video of our Taiwan trip.

I realised that the trip's experience mirrors the story of our relationship a lot.

• It started out spontaneous
• It devolved into chaos halfway through
• It ended as an awesome experience and us growing closer together
• We had fights
• We made up
• I was clumsy
• You were decisive
• I was flexible
• You were stubborn
• I was your calm
• You were my warmth

And nowhere was your warmth more radiant than during this trip.

You were always smiling, bubbly, dynamic
and I get to see it over, and over, and over again editing this video,

so much so that I was overwhelmed with tears several times making this.

"This is someone I want to be with for the rest of my life," was what I thought editing this video from minute one all the way to the end.
"This is someone I want to be with for the rest of my life," was what I thought the moment we first got onto a video call eight years ago.

You ask me many times, why I love you.

I'm rubbish at expressing myself through words, even though I do it for a loving.

So I thought it best to show you through the medium I know best:

visuals, audio, editing, web design,
and most of all

sleepless nights obsessing over details to get it just right.

And I want us to be just right as well.

Proposing to you was hard -- paralysing even -- because I want it to be just right.

But I just have to be me, the same way that you just have to be you -- for me to love you.

This boyfriend/girlfriend project is long overdue, and I need to git push this commit and complete this JIRA ticket.

I'm sorry for making you wait this long.

You are the most important person in my life.

You are my favourite person in my life.
And I want you to be my forever in my life.

Please marry me and be my wife.
